Vocabulary 
  1. probability: A number between 0 and 1 that measures the likelihood of an event happening.
  2. outcome: A possible result of an experiment.
  3. prediction: Something you think will happen such as a specific outcome of an experiment.
  4. tree diagram: A.) A diagram of all the possible outcomes of an event or series of events or experiments. B.) A diagram of all the possible combinations of two or more objects or events being put together.
  5. mean: the average of a set of numbers. It is found by adding all the numbers in a set together and then dividing that sum by the quantity of numbers. 
  6. median: the middle value in a set
  7. mode: the value that occurs the MOST in a set
  8. range: The difference between the largest and smallest number in a set. 

Lesson 1: Probability and Outcomes
Main Idea: Students will describe probability.

Lesson 2: Probability and Fractions

Main Idea: Students will describe probability in words and in numbers.

Lesson 4: Find Probability 
Main Idea: Students will find the probability of outcomes using a grid.

Lesson 6: Tree Diagrams
Main Idea: Students will use a tree diagram to show outcomes.
